I started off as a freelance web designer and quickly realized that this is how I wanted to spend my time. I love it when a site looks great and is easy to use, and the positive feedback that is sure to follow a job well done. Happy clients are my bread and butter and I like to go the distance to make sure everyone is satisfied throughout the lifecycle of a project. I am always learning and growing my toolset, reading and attending usergroups and trainings in order to stay abreast of the changing landscape of the web.
I meet with clients, gather specs, decide the appropriate format and platform, then create mockups & graphics with an eye for branding and clean, user-friendly modern sites.
I have created the UX and IA for many sites as the in-house go-to web person at my current company, a non-profit association. Usability is a large part of what drives my design.
I develop sites with HTML and CSS as well as in CMS such as WordPress & ezPublish and have recently started to learn about and incorporate responsive design.
I have experience with photography, videography, & editing, and am working on increasing these skills in my free time.
